After running Isalos Fine Art with her husband in Stonington, Maine from 2003 through 2014, Rebecca Daugherty is exploring. While in Stonington, she built a sea kayak and later earned a Maine guide's license and ACA Instructor certification. For the winter of 2015, she will be living in Saint Marys, Georgia, guiding and teaching through Sea, Surf & SUP, and looking for new things to paint.
She studied painting at Goddard College and printmaking at the University of Iowa. Her work has been exhibited and sold since 1988, currently through Isalos Fine Art in Stonington, Maine and the Camden Falls Gallery in Camden, Maine.
In September, 2014, paintings from her 2011 residency at Everglades National Park was included in "The Suitcase Show," at Galleri Schaeffers in Oslo, Norway.
